Creditors can find out anything that would be listed in your wife's name. They can do a property search using the county registry and a UCC search looking for other assets. If the property is deeded in her name and they do a property search, they will find her.

It is also important to note here that California is a community property state and you might want to consider protecting your assets as well, especially the bank account. In some instances for certain types of debt incurred during the marriage, they can come after both husband and wife in community property states.

See a lawyer immediately if she is in danger of being sued. They will call you at work for her accounts.
