most collection agencys sue based on the SOL on credit card debt based on the SOL from the OPEN account years NOT the WRITTEN but honestly a couple yrs back here in nevada i called about 10 different law firms from here in laughlin up to lasvegas and reno & id say 6 out of 10 say in nevada its based on the longer written but the other 4 say oh no , its open so its a crap shoot really .. most collectors will tell you on the phone they sue on the written terms but in honesty when push comes to shove they MOSTLY sue on nevada's 4 yr open SOL not the 6 yr written .. our statue #nrs 97A.060 & 97A.050 show in NEVADA credit cards are defined as OPEN ACCOUNTS & if sued on the longer written the collector will lose , i know its pain in the butt but most lawyers dont know the correct law when it comes to SOL credit issues .. just my opinion , kelly ........
