I had a account with assoc/citi... that I haven't paid in a while.. It went into collections to RMA, I made a couple of payments to them, then I had financial difficulty and couldn't pay them, later the account when to ACS... They called me everyday... they told me if I did not make a payment arrangement, that they would sue for double the amount and could take away my assets... I set up payments and later stopped payments on them... I wrote the collection agency a letter and told them I could not make the payments.. They called me and told me they were willing to set up smaller payments... I was still receiving letters from them about the previous payments that I set up with them and they were still planning to deduct from my acct... I contacted them and they said that all my payments had been cancelled because i stopped payment on a check.. I told them that was before I set up the new agreement with them.. They acted like they didn't care and wished me good luck.. They said they were sending the account back to the OC and they were probably sue me... What do I do? Should I write the OC a letter about setting up payments to them and how will I know if they will sue?? I am in Texas and the dedt was 4000
