CACV of Colorado, LLC purchased my two plus year old debt that was in default. I was just served a summons to appear for a civil complaint hearing at the end of the month. Currently I am in college full time and without an income with the exeception of child support. In addition I am remarried but this debt was establised prior to marriage and in my name only. All assets are in my husbunds name. Obviously the sol hasn't run out so i guess my question is Do I go in the hearing and offer to settle instantly? Do I take it to court? Do I even have a defense if I do take it to court? Are there papers I am suppose to file? As you can tell this is not my area of expertise. Any feedback/help/advice/ would be greatly appreciated. And I am not sure if it makes a difference but I live in PA
