Collection bill for 11 year old unknown debt

Just received a letter from Northland Group claiming I owe over $3000 on an account last used in 1992. I have no recollection of this account, it doesn't show up on a credit report dated 1998 or an a credit report dated a few months ago. What can I do about this?
