What should I do? (Why Chat, CAK - Please help)

I mentioned about the CA trying to collect on a debt after I sent a Cease and Desist letter. Three months later they started calling again. I asked them to send what they wanted in the mail. Well, nothing in the mail and I think they know that if they do I can sue them. I do have all the calls on my caller id and some on my answering machine. Should I sue them or write them a letter stating the facts to them and see if they will settle? I live in CA. Thanks
