Just an update...I took a copy of my notice of appearance & answer to attorney's office Friday...he fit scumbag description of CA attorney to a T! His office did not even have a stamp with which to stamp my copies received with the date! I requested that he sign each and every one with his name, marked received, and the date, which he did. He asked me if I was interested in discussing a settlement. I told him "Not at this time." I did NOT want to "discuss" in person, I've learned through this board that everything needs to be in writing! He told me that because of how my answer was worded that he would be filing for a judgment on Monday morning....I'm hoping that was a scare tactic!!! I then went to the court house and filed my originals with them. I'm going to keep checking back with them to see if he files anything because I don't trust him to send me copies of anything.

Should I send the CA attorney a settlement offer letter this upcoming week or wait and see what he does? If we do end up going to court I want to be able to have documented proof that I attempted to settle? Again, any advice is greatly appreciated!!!!
