My first post to this or any other thread so please excuse me if I spek or act out of form. I had perfect credit for 15 years, then got into finacial trouble with a failed venture in 99-2000. lost my income stream, owed everyone. I fought for awhile, begged borrowed whatever, called cc's every month and redundantly explained the situation until I hit my limit of copeing. Tennessee, last payment to anyone (cc's) was January of 2001. Hadnt had a decent check in years and cant seem to get started again. Home of 30 years has been in foreclosure 3 times, threatened 12 or 13 more but still hangin on. I have never been to court, supposed to be there the 25th of june to defend against suit from Capital One by local chaser...$9000 plus fees plus interest from last payment...dont have it, cant get it. I developed a plan of sorts that one day I would go back and try to make it right with everyone but maybe grace has run short for me. The summons did not give a date for answer or even ask for one..just a court date. My brain is oatmeal...maybe a postponement to get my thoughts together? Other suggestions? Thanks in advance for anything from anyone.
