Story as follows:
Car bought as Co-buyer on Feb/00
Legally Divorce from husband (1st buyer) Sept/00
I never used the car, he kept it
Car repoed I don't know when because they never sent me any notification of this and the resale of the car in an auction (probably they did, but to the worng address)
Lawsuit filed against us
I was not served in person, they left summons in my old address.
I did not answer the summons in 20 days since I was not aware of it.
Court scheduled for August.

I went to Miami Court House to check for the Case records and this is what I found:
My ex-husband answered the Summons in Spanish, may be he is going to use that to say he did not understand the contract.
He also stated that he lost his job due to September 11th's acts, and he does not have a job and uses public transportation now.
They referenced that the car was sold for 2,700 according to the Uniform Commercial Code (The retail value was $15,000)
I also found a document CERTIFIED RETURN OF SERVICE saying that they Substitue Served me by leaving the papers with a member of the Houshold (actually my ex-landlord)
I also found that they sent a Notice of Hearing for me to an Adress that I have never lived in, I don't know were they got this from.

I am desperate looking for a mistake from them to be withrought from this case. I know I am liable for this Contact because my signature is stamped there, but it wouldn't be fair to pay for something that I never used. How can I get the Judge to understand me or give me a brake?

What can I do? Please HELPppppppppp me.
