Absolutely. What state are you in now, where were you before ?

If the SOL(s) have run or are about to, and you can stay below the radar until they definitely run out, then you're almost home free.

I say almost because you will still likely have a fight on your hands if any of the collectors find you. You'll just have to have a stock of Cease and Desist/expired SOL letters handy to send. You'll also need to be diligent in watching your credit reports to be sure that none of the scummy CA's illegally re-age your debt.

If you've only got 2 more years before all the bad stuff falls off, I, personally, wouldn't file for bankruptcy. You could be home free in 2, 2-1/2 years - bankruptcy will hit you hard for an additional 3-4 (creditwise).
