Hi, I'm so glad I found this site! I'm worried because I owe Providian about $5K dollars, which I haven't been able to pay for over a year now, and I just got a message on my recorder from their attorney's office. I don't have a job right now, so I don't have any ability to really negotiate....if they even do?? The card is in my name only, but I'm married, and my husband and I own a house together in California. My concern is that they'll end up getting a judgment against me, and putting a lien on our property. Since it is not my husband's fault or responsibility, I would like to sign the property over to him....would this help?? Can they still attach his property or garnish his wages? Is there any thing I can do to make other arrangements with them, or Providian directly? The firm is Eskes and Ather (not sure of spelling), and I would love any insight or experience any one has with them, or a situation like this. Thanks very much in advance! 2Steps
