Thank you all for your insight, I do not work for a collection agency, and the company I work for is very strict on when we call, who we call, where we call, and what we can say when the call is made, I can honestly say that I am not aware of an illegal acts of my peers or my company but again the company is very big. I am amazed as some of the things you folks have been through with "collectors" and I can see how upset you and others can be if that is how you've been treated, I again appreciate you input, I will sincerely implement your feedback in my work....Oh yeah 1 more thing..... I talked to a lady today that owed my company in excess of $15k...She had been in an auto accident and was just recovering, she called and stated she wanted to pay me and offered the payment. I asked questions so that I could understand her entire financial situation and found out that the only way she could pay me was to let her insurance run. I declined the payment and told her that I would rather she handle what is most important. I cannot guarantee what the collection agency will do once they get the account, but I know that I consider what is best, not always for my company, but for everyone. Again thank you all for your insight I appreciate it.
