A process server was trying to serve my child who does not live with me nor receive mail etc at my address. Suit is in CO and we are in MS. I am not named anywhere in the suit. On third try the process server threw the papers in my driveway and said that I was served as I was leaving my home ....that CO law applies to ME in MS and that I could be served in lieu of my child.
Does not seem like a legal process service to me? If so does that mean all they have to do is find any relative to serve court papers?
