I have a charge off that is technically suppose to come of my friends at Experian's books in Oct of this year --- it is not listed on the other big two.
I'm in the very early phases of applying for a mortgage and the broker told me that this had to be paid prior to getting a mortgage. I told him that it would be coming off in October and perhaps I should wait. He then stated it won't come off and I should pay it (or bargain a portion) and get the mortgage now.
Seriosly considering the motivation ---- I've had my old student loans etc... completly removed so I don't see why this would be an issue - cleaner report in Oct.
